I really enjoyed and connected with this story. Every time I had to put it down, I looked forward to picking it back up again. The writing style is thoughtful and direct, the characters dimensional, the subject matter handled with refreshing honesty. Well worth the read, can't wait for the next in the series.
Light That Fractures is the first in a series of novellas by Marcy Weydemuller that tells of six women leaning on each other and learning to lean on the Lord. Geena’s story is a lovely introduction. The Morisi family is warm and real, and Geena’s struggle with bitterness and forlorn dreams draws you in and touches your heart. Weydemuller writes with heart and depth. Please don’t miss the first novella in the White Stones series.
What an inspiring and enjoyable read! Weydemuller’s writing drew me in on the first page and held my attention to the very last sentence. From one vivid scene to the next, the story flows at a good pace. The heroine, Geena, and other main characters, are very real in their responses to tragedy. Geena’s family /friend support “village” is quite impressive. I highly recommend Light That Fractures, and look forward to Weydemuller’s next treat.
Anyone who enjoys a captivating read with an emotional tug that ends in satisfaction will surely find that here in this novel.
